The Authentic, Abridged, Chain-Supported Collection Regarding Matters Pertaining to the Messenger of Allah, His Traditions, and His Times (Arabic: الجامع المسند الصحيح المختصر من أُمور رسول الله وسننه وأيامه) or more briefly The Authentic Collection (Arabic: الجامع الصحيح). Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī is one of the Kutub al-Sittah (six major hadith collections) of Sunni Islam, compiled by Persian scholar Muhammad al-Bukhari.
It was completed around 846 CE / 232 AH. Sunni Muslims view this as one of the two most trusted collections of hadith along with Sahih Muslim. The Arabic word sahih translates as authentic or correct. Sahih al-Bukhari, together with Sahih Muslim is known as Sahihayn.
